Human Resources Compensation Assistant

The perfect candidate for Sunrise’s HR Compensation Assistant will thrive in supporting a dynamic HR team while learning broader HR concepts and practices! This flexible and role will work closely with the Senior Director of Compensation and Director of HRIS to bring Sunrise’s support and customers delivery to the next level. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of human resources-related experience and must possess strong attention to detail and analytical skills. This is a remote role but will be based on EST hours.



The following lists, but is not limited to, a high-level overview of the HR Assistant’s role.

Assist in creation and maintenance of human resources forms or documents

Support the Long Term Service Award program working closely with third party administrator and the Sunrise HRIS team, including replying to team member inquiries

Manage invoice coding and submission for approval for the human resources department

Generate basic reports or queries and provides summaries of data for use in analysis or decision making

Process and track job code changes

Cross train and serve as back up to HR Compensation Help Desk

Inputs team member data in company systems and reviews output for accuracy

Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing needs

Follow established procedures for updating, validating, and correcting team member records or other related HR data

Assist in the ongoing review, testing and implementation of HR information systems and software


Experience in the HR program administration

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing

Function as a flexible, energetic, and engaged professional to deliver consistent and reliable service

Outstanding customer service skills – commitment to consistent outstanding customer service and an ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization

Provide customers accurate information with a high degree of attention to detail

Expert-level Excel skills

Proficiency with advanced formulas and pivot tables required

Ability to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines in a very fast-paced environment


High school diploma or GED

Associates degree preferred

Minimum of 1-2 years of human resources administration or support experience is highly preferred
