The Role
The Manufacturing Manager ensures that the front-line Operations and Supervisory teams have the resources, materials and technical support needed to meet the ongoing product needs of the CMP Business safely and effectively. The Manufacturing Manager also helps drive activities designed to ensure that capital investment plans, resource plans, and continuous improvement plans (CIP) are maintained to support stable and sustainable growth of our manufacturing capabilities.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
Recruits, develops, and supports the front-line supervisory team needed to manage the ongoing operations of CMP manufacturing safely and effectively in a 24/7 environment
In conjunction with the CMP Supervisors, consistently drives and reinforces the safety and quality cultures necessary to achieve incident free performance
Collaborates with Planning to develop, deploy, and execute the ongoing production plans to assure that customer demand is met in a safe and timely fashion and at a quality level that meets expectations
Works with the CMP Supervisors to develop and maintain the staffing plans needed to ensure uninterrupted 24 X 7 operations, including the approval of vacation coverage and/or overtime coverage as needed
Works closely with Facility Maintenance to arrange the work schedules and system downtime windows such that preventative and reactive maintenance work are completed successfully
Leads front line process and equipment troubleshooting activities and works closely with Process Engineering and Maintenance to ensure that inoperable or marginal equipment is addressed and brought back into its expected operating window
Helps develop and maintain the resource, capital and project plans necessary to support the ongoing growth of the business; identifies continuous improvement opportunities and works within the site MOC plan to implement safety, quality, and capacity improvements
Supports Environmental, Safety & Health, and Quality department programs and requirements, new products, and special projects as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
BS Degree in Chemical Engineering required; other technical related degrees will be strongly considered for candidates that meet the other experience requirements
Five- (5) years’ experience in a frontline leadership position within a manufacturing environment; experience leading both operational and professional technical employees a plus
High volume manufacturing experience preferred, familiarity with high purity chemical manufacturing a plus
Demonstrated experience with developing and executing production, project, and maintenance plans
Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office suite preferred; prior experience with SAP and LIMS is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
