The Purchasing Supervisor reports to the Manager of HLUS Strategic Sourcing and Indirect Purchasing. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing activities related to the Indirect and Strategic Sourcing procurement functions. Duties require the use of SAP and MS Office programs, effective decision-making, prioritizing assignments, solving problems, and leading cost savings projects. This position oversees the ordering of materials and supplies from vendors, negotiates contracts for goods and services, ensures best prices are obtained, and makes recommendations to leverage spend opportunities across Fujifilm Group Companies. Supervision is provided to a group of 17+/- employees that includes managing the completion of goals and assignments and performance results

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
This position provides leadership and technical guidance to the Indirect Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing teams.
Oversees the issuance of bid packages, pre-bid meeting initiatives, and bid analysis.
Oversees the ordering of materials and services for Group Companies using SAP.
Analyzes data and provides recommendations for cost improvements.
Prepares written reports and presentations, leads meetings, and maintains effective communications.
Coordinates work schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of daily duties and projects.
Oversees system administration for the Purchasing team.
Assists with individual goal development for the Purchasing team and monitors progress
Cross-trains the team members to establish effectiveness and responsiveness
Supports expansion of Services to all Fujifilm subsidiaries in North America
Maintains training materials for existing companies in areas of need as well as for new company groups who utilize Shared Services.
Maintains procurement policies and procedures.
Ensures coverage during team member absences for continuation of workflow.
Assists with contracts as needed
Visits North American HLUS purchasing supported sites as needed for regular performance assessments and goal planning.
Oversees data analysis and project planning.
Enforces procurement best practices and standardization across all Fujifilm group companies in procurement.
Within 6-9 Months:
Coordinates work schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of daily duties and projects.
Oversees system administration for the Purchasing team.
Assists with individual goal development for the Purchasing team and monitors progress

Within 9-18 Months:
Provides leadership and technical guidance to the entire Purchasing team.
Cross-trains the Team members to establish effectiveness and responsiveness
Maintain training materials for existing companies in areas of need as well as for new company groups who utilize Shared Services.
Maintain procurement policies and procedures.
Assists with contracts as needed
Oversees the ordering of materials and services for Group Companies using SAP.
Education:
Bachelor Degree with a minimum Purchasing experience of 7 years.
Required Skills:
SAP/ERP purchasing experience
Project management experience
PC skills and appropriate applications
Planning and organizing
Decision making
Negotiation skills
5 Plus year in the following:
Developing, initiating and managing sourcing strategies with tactical processing capabilities.
Building strategic supplier relationships.
Project management experience.
Effectively communicating (verbal and written) with a wide range of customers and team members.
Facilitating day-to-day operational and strategic objectives.
Identifying and implementing sourcing objectives and goals that support organizational strategies.
Desired Experience:
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
5 plus years of demonstrated capability in strategically sourcing corporate services and/or high tech commodities.
5 plus years of procurement experience in a shared services procurement role
