SPA's ORCA team is seeking an experianced software engineer/developer with strong Java programing experiance, to contribute to the design and development of a family of large-scale defense and homeland security simulation software.
Responsibilities
Software development, integration, testing, demonstration, and documentation
Graphical user interface design and development in Windows
Technology research and evaluation
Requirements analysis, algorithm development, and collaborative design

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Salary pay range: $110,000-$140,000
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required
High proficiency and recent experience using Java
At least 4 years of programming experience
Strong Object-Oriented programming experience, including design patterns, polymorphism, data structures, and algorithms
Working knowledge of full stack software development
Excellent analytical skills
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with any of the following is also useful: Web Services, SQL Databases, Graphical User Interface (GUI) design, XML, C++, C#, Microsoft .NET, Python, TCP/IP, COM and/or UNIX
Services Oriented Architecture experience
Working knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle
Familiarity with modeling and simulation software principals is desirable
