Responsibilities
What does our Manager, Supply Chain do?
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain of goods and services for Ambius North America, including management of cross-functional teams to facilitate the definition of category plans, defining and leading negotiations, supplier and stakeholder management to optimize total spend. This role is responsible for driving the vision, goals, & results for Supply Planning and indirectly managing the people and processes to achieve those goals and objectives.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Supply Chain Process and Performance
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain for the Ambius line of business.
Establish and maintain effective 3rd party resources including fabricators, holiday supplies and labor.
Establishes performance metrics for measuring, comparing, or evaluating factors affecting the supply chain.
Develops and maintains detailed inventory management processes of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the distribution facilities.
Maintains the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company.
Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implement subsequent changes to processes.
Develop and take ownership of processes for 3rd party contractors including labor needs for National Accounts.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
Support the development and oversee implementation of the Strategic Sourcing initiatives that enable short- and long-term Business Unit Objectives to be achieved.
Negotiates raw materials and delivery prices with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on the availability and cost of supplies and materials.
Serve as an internal and external reference point for Procurement related questions for assigned categories.
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and quantifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Leadership
Enable ongoing development of Ambius procurement team including Primescape and Ambius Finishing Center colleagues via effective evaluations, coaching, goal-setting, and cross-region knowledge sharing
Manage recruiting efforts including interviewing, hiring and onboarding to ensure appropriate staffing levels and talent bench strength.
Lead and drive organization values through quality of service, relationships and teamwork.
Nurture a high performing culture through actions, accountability and feedback
Champion change through the “Heart, Head and Hands” methodology
Establishes the following in all endeavors: Clarity of Understanding, Cadence of Accountability and controlling the controllable
What do you need?
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of supply chain experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
Business operations experience
Business acumen
Skill in managing and leading assigned projects - understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings
Skill in written and verbal communications, including public speaking
Skill in organization and time management - ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple project coordinators, leads and/or managers at one time
Skill in group presentations and meeting management
Skill in providing clear and concise feedback
Attention to detail and analytical skills
Skill with Google suite (Docs, Hangouts, etc)
Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search
