Shop Foreman

Machine Tool company in Troy, MI is looking for a working Shop Foreman. The job duties are the same as a Machine Builder but will have experience in leading small teams. Ability to read and release blueprints, handle emails from customers, and general project management. Must be proficient in MS Word & Excel, and have experience opening and analyzing drawings in AutoCAD. 30% of this position will be office work. This position is 40 hours, at most 45. M-F 7am-3:30pm. Machine Builder Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

 Assemble equipment from drawings, specifications, blueprints, and schematics

 Help plan and document assembly procedures

 Communicate to proper departments with changes or modifications that need to be made in order to properly assemble the equipment

 Test and inspect the product before shipment

 Identify and correct any problems during testing stage of equipment

 Ability to weld and fabricate equipment per prints supplied.

Experience and Education:

 Strong mechanical ability.

 Ability to plan, layout and build machines from start to fruition with limited to no supervision.

 Excellent communication and team work skills.

 Solutions-oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

 Previous experience installing or troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems preferred.

 Interest and ability to perform work in areas other than machine assembly a plus (painting, welding, fabrication or machining).

 Minimum 5 years related experience required  Must have a valid driver’s license

 Travel: Domestic and international, 10% or less
