We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Environmental Team. We welcome applicants interested in a hybrid work schedule from either our Atlanta, GA; Duluth, GA; or Doral, FL office.

CHA believes our employees should have the time and flexibility to balance work and personal commitments. We offer most employees the option of a hybrid schedule with a work week that includes both office and work from home days.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA brings decades of experience in exploring a wide range of soil, bedrock, and groundwater conditions, and evaluating the impacts of these conditions to infrastructure projects. The composition of the ground at a site is a critical factor in the design and construction of the project. Our design solutions range from simplistic to complex and innovative, as our approach to geotechnical engineering always considers final project cost, schedule, and performance.

The Geotechnical Engineer will play a major role in the growth of CHA’s environmental team in Georgia and Florida. This position will be responsible for many tasks, including managing the collection of geotechnical data for a variety of projects, and will have the knowledge and skills to prepare reports based on the data collected. The right individual for this Geotechnical Engineer role will be a problem-solver who takes initiative, communicates well, and enjoys collaborating on a team.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering required

Professional Engineer (PE) license required; licensed in GA or FL preferred

Minimum of 4 years of discipline specific engineering experience required

Advanced proficiency with engineering and modeling software such as Settle3D, Slide, and LPILE

Familiar with QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering

Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences

Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions required

Experience with building, land development, and bridge projects in the Atlanta, Duluth GA / Doral FL areas is a plus
