CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Gas Pipeline Engineer to join our Gas Engineering based in Syracuse, NY.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA delivers safe, cost-efficient, and reliable designs of transmission pipelines, custody transfer stations, distribution mains, regulator stations, and customer connections. Our services span from concept to customer service connection.

Working closely with professional engineers, the Gas Pipeline Engineer assists in the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. At CHA, our Gas Pipeline Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

The Gas Pipeline Engineer aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. The Gas Pipeline Engineer performs simple calculations and engineering design using the standards established by federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the company, group, client, etc. The Gas Pipeline Engineer solves routine problems by applying defined procedures and attends field assignments when appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Gas, or Utility Engineering, or other related Engineering field is required

EIT certification is preferred

No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred

Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline

Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field

Familiar with engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required

Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist mid and senior level engineering and project management staff

Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
