Responsibilities
The Proofreader provides quality control, consistency, and accuracy for the Marketing team. This individual proofreads marketing copy and company communications and ensures company messages are consistent, clear, and reflective of brand standards while meeting deadlines.
Proofread print collateral, advertising (print and digital), presentations, videos, websites, signage, printer proofs, scripts, social media posts, and internal company documents for accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, etc.
Using proprietary company software, proofread and edit marketing collateral, including invitations, flyers, brochures, and other materials.
Work closely with production artists to ensure all materials are free of errors.
Manage daily schedule to meet proofreading deadlines.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or a related field required.
Experience in proofreading, editing and/or written communications, preferably in the advertising or marketing field.
Familiarity with print design and media terminology a plus.
Able to work within aggressive time deadlines and with competing priorities.
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine, subject to legal requirements.
