Job Description

The role is the custodian for the management of claims (other than Employee Benefit Claims) raised by both the group and the non,group clients. The role is responsible for ensuring the process adherence technical competencies of the team that every process right from the intimation of the incident leading to a claim till closure of the claim, is handled effectively and within prescribed TATs.Key Result Areas:Claims Management : , Visit client site, as required, to understand claim incident and detail, Ensure that team members involved in specific claim settlement process also visit the client site and gain thorough understanding of the incident, Ensure that team members handling claim settlements have thoroughly understood the different financial and technical aspects of the claim, Ensure that client policies relevant to the claim, are well read and understood to present a strong business case for the client, Understand the technical and financial aspects of the claim and ensure that the client is informed of all aspects , possibilities of the claim settlement, Conduct periodic review meetings with the team to track critical TATs and discuss monthly targets of claim settlement, Ensure that all surveyor queries are responded to and intimated to the client , Liaise with different stakeholders , Client, insurance companies, surveyor, as and when required, to ensure an effective closure of claims within defined TATsTeam Management :, Conduct knowledge sharing sessions within the team to ensure that relevant knowledge of different technical and financial aspects of the insurance business is imparted, Ensure learning and career growth opportunities for team, Make recommendations for recognizing and rewarding talent within the team, in consultation with Head , Claims ManagementStakeholder Relationship Management, Maintain effective relations with all stakeholders involved in the claim settlement process , Client, insurance companies, surveyor, internal teams like sales, Coordinate with sales to build strong client relations , Ensure that all client queries or surveyor queries are being responded to within defined TATs
