Job Description

Wheelhouse DMG is looking for an experienced and passionate leader to help define the future of digital advertising for the agency, invest in the development and growth of the team, and drive continued growth for our clients. This critical role will be responsible for developing and refining our services, strategies, thought leadership and talent.

The right candidate will have an aptitude for balancing the needs of the business, our clients, and our people. They will have a strong orientation toward quality and a growth mindset, always looking for new ways to improve and strengthen our services and team.

An expert strategic leader in their own right, this individual will keep close eyes on client strategy and performance, and mentor team members to continuously improve. They will act as a thought leader for Wheelhouse, maintaining a pulse on the digital advertising industry, our clients’ industries, and changes in the landscape.

They will partner closely with other practices and Wheelhouse leadership to collaborate on service design improvements as well as the integration of and iterative improvement to our technology products.

The Role

  • Ensures that we consistently deliver exceptional performance in an exceptional manner for all Wheelhouse advertising clients. Including but not limited to:

    • Develop and implement practice training

    • Process documentation

    • Consistently executed service design

    • Role cards, skill assessments, and development paths for each role

    • Exceptional hiring

  • Acts as a client advocate, ensuring that client sentiment is universally positive

    • Conduct regular sentiment checks with stakeholders

    • Retrospectives after major deliverables and milestones

    • Identify and mitigate risks through consistent process

  • Continually evolve digital advertising offerings and POVs to drive increased performance for clients and value for Wheelhouse

    • Identify, train for, and successfully introduce relevant new advertising channels and platforms

    • Facilitate team members education around industry and platform changes

    • Work collaboratively with other practice areas to enhance media offerings and solve strategic challenges

  • Integrate Media offerings with other practice areas to create industry differentiation and increased value for clients

  • Drive strong and consistent annual growth from new and existing clients

  • Retain existing clients

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8+ years’ experience in Paid Search, Paid Social and Programmatic advertising in platforms like Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, Linkedin Ads,, Twitter Ads, AdRoll, Criteo, Basis, MediaMath, Choozle, or other related platforms.

  • 5+ years’ experience successfully managing and growing teams

  • Significant experience in an agency or consulting role, working directly with clients and managing competing client priorities

  • Strong communicator with the ability to tell compelling stories to clients at any technical skill level. Experience presenting to C-Suite level executives and in front of large audiences

  • Deep orientation toward performance, data, and understanding the ties between

  • Experience contributing to business development pitches

  • Experience managing P&L preferred
