We are looking for a VP of Engineering to head our rapidly growing engineering function. You will be responsible for leading our SaaS and Digital Freight Network teams. You will be at the forefront of enterprise adoption of our cloud,native software platform. The role is at the crossroads of Enterprise SAAS and Consumer Marketplace. The right candidate must be a self,motivated, fast learner who can bridge the technologies from either side efficiently. While there is scale, there is also massive complexity in the supply chain domain; if you are driven by solving for complexity and are great at (or want to learn) abstracting complex domains,systems, this is the right role for you.Key Responsibilities :, Leadership : Lead and grow multiple teams of top,notch engineers to own, drive and deliver critical parts of our Software enabled Digital Freight Network. , Processes and practices : Set up best in class processes and practices that ensure a balance between scale and quality. Set up the organization to enable timely delivery of projects with high quality. Oversee and help develop best practices for different areas such as DevOps, Security, Platform Engineering etc. , Product team collaboration : Be a solid partner to the product team in building the platform. Be actively involved in strategic direction and product decisions that impact Freight Tiger and its ecosystem of partners,customers., Engineering excellence : Establish team metrics for measurement of engineering and operational excellence. Implement a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement., Technical judgment : Show strong business and technical judgment that will accelerate time to market of releases, while moving the product towards the long,term vision., Domain modelling : Partner with Product and Business in modelling the supply chain domain and building a functional view of the domain. This functional view will be key in driving the system architecture and org structure. , Partner to business : Bring a strong business and operational orientation to the table and partner with company leaders to influence business decisions and strategy., Hire and Groom Talent : Recruit, hire, scale, and develop an amazing team of engineers and engineering leaders. Guide,help develop their careers with stretch projects. Preferred Qualifications,Skills :, 15+ years of experience in software development with 7+ years in leadership roles., Deep understanding of enterprise,level SaaS system architectures., Passion for quality, zero downtime upgrades, availability, resiliency, and uptime of the platform., Understanding of and expertise in building large scale and complex systems., Strategic thinker balanced with being detail,oriented., Must possess the ability to switch between execution and strategy mode effortlessly., Ability to prioritize and cope with competing demands. Must possess a sense of urgency and excellent execution and project management skills., Strong track record of being able to develop and set release plans, track deadlines, deliverables, resource allocations, issues,risks and create mitigation strategies as needed to deliver quality products on time., Thrive in fast,changing environments and ambiguity while being execution,oriented, hands,on, pragmatic and focused on results., Collaborative and able to build a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition and mutual respect.We will pay top dollar salary to the right candidate.
