Role Brief :As the Head of HR you'll play a foundational role in the growth, operations and empowerment of Velocity. You will be working as the think along, strategic and execution partner with the founders and department heads. You will be responsible for ideating and implementing strategic HR initiatives including hiring strategies, talent management, employee engagement, organization structures, business partnering and leadership development, working closely with the leadership teams. This role spans across India & is a truly great opportunity in its essence. You operate as a trusted advisor & serve as an expert on people and organizational matters, while navigating your way through a fast,paced environment and thriving in the chaos that comes with it. The company is at a 0,1 stage and therefore it needs a certain type of entrepreneurial ethos on the people's side to set up the verticals for future success.Roles and responsibilitiesHR Business Partnerships, Partner with business leadership and managers to understand business imperatives and articulate people priorities, Partner effectively with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, cost management, succession planning, performance management, leadership development to support a high growth business, Play an integral role on the leadership team, bringing credibility and, strong partnership methods, and contribute to overall business decisions, , Serve as a consultative subject matter expert manage specialist HR functions like Talent Acquisition, Learning and organization Development, HR Operations and Analytics & Total Rewards, to design solutions that cater to the people priorities of your teams, Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for employee relations and performance matters, Coach leaders and managers on a breadth of topics to perform at optimal management strengths and capabilities, Analyse and leverage relevant data and provide in,depth analysis that drive people decisions, Find ways to build engagement , improve workplace relationships and sense of community to boost productivity and retention, Be the Culture champion and evangelistHR Programs:, Drive the implementation , roll out of org,wide people initiatives for your teams to improve employee engagement, creating a performance driven culture, drive people growth and enhance employee experience. Initiatives include, but are not restricted to Capability building, Learning interventions, Talent reviews, Benefits policies, Rewards and recognition and On,boarding and new hire orientation programsHR Operations:, Develop radically simple approaches to business challenges while keeping alignment with the organization as a cohesive whole, Partner with COEs to prioritize and execute on the needs of the businessFunctional Leadership:, Work with peers to develop a high,performing team of business,aligned HR resources, building business knowledge and HR capability through formal learning, coaching, and on,the,job experiences, , Provide coaching, development and mentoring to a small team of direct reports, Contribute to the broader HR function by sharing knowledge and experience informally or through participation in project teamsSkills,Experience : , 8+ years of experience in the HR function, with at least 3 years in an HRBP capacity, Strong understanding of various HR work streams and domains across the employee lifecycle, Capable of translating business priorities into HR programs and workflows that drive value & meet business needs, Demonstrated record of success in improving organizational performance and developing strong business partnerships within a dynamic, hyper,growth paced environment, Evidence of successfully influencing and manage change effectively, Experience of working cross functionally within all specialist HR functions with demonstrated collaboration & teamwork, Self starter with the ability to work in ambiguity, in a fast paced entrepreneurial setup while delivering outcomes in a highly matrixed environment, A strategic thinker and creative problem solver who takes initiative and ownership, Driving metric,based outcomes and experiences, Ability to create content and deliver effective presentations for company,wide distributionAbout UsWe are a VC funded fintech startup based in Bangalore with the audacious goal of building the future of business financing.
