Job Description

In this role, you will oversee marketing and development of medical device categories, help make important guiding decisions regarding existing products and product development, and work collaboratively with other teams to attain our shared corporate goals and maximize profitability. You should be a strong leader with excellent management skills who is able to motivate and innovate on a daily basis.Job Description: , Develops the overall strategy for a product category and researches new product options in the category to drive sales and achieve targets., Works closely with supplier , vendors for product selection, specifications and product details., Daily co,ordination for orders, shipment movement from vendor's located worldwide to the respective market., Work closely with shipping companies for movement of shipments. Efficiently plan order delivery and shipment routes to keep least possible lead times and delivery times., Maintain excellent supplier , vendor relationships with manufacturers worldwide., Look for new product opportunities and identify new suppliers for products asked by the market., Occasionally travel locally within India and international to meet suppliers, manufacturing partners., Work closely with graphic's team, external content developers, freelancers to develop product packaging, instruction material and marketing material., Support market , sales team with required product information and promotional material., Ensure all vendor information and product information is accurately updated in the ERP, Regularly review sales trend and product order forecast for each product line and vendor., Ensure timely orders are placed keeping lead times and seasonal trend to keep sufficient stock to support sales., Leads a team that provides category insights and proposals by analyzing marketing and customer data and monitoring relevant market conditions. , Works closely with sales team to determine optimal pricing through analysis of sales trends, competitors, buying habits and planograms of products to promote sales opportunities. , May develop special arrangements with vendors to enhance product promotions. , Typically reports to a head of a unit,department., Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. , Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. , May give input into developing the budget. , Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Desired Candidate Profile, Bachelor's degree in Bio,medical engineering or pure sciences, MBA in marketing, or related field preferred., Minimum 4 years experience in product or category management, Significant experience in sales, marketing, and purchasing strongly preferred, Proven record of successful vendor relations and product assessment, Ability to foresee market trends and stay ahead of the competition, Excellent collaborative and team building skills, Outstanding communication and presentation skills, Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, Solid analytical skills, Strong organizational and problem solving skills, Skilled in Microsoft Office and database management programs
