About Swaniti Initiative:Swaniti Initiative is a non,partisan, social enterprise that delivers development solutions to policy makers and representatives. Swaniti works with Governments, Parliamentarians and developmental organisations. We focus on policy and execution issues in the sector of climate change, health, water, sanitation, education and livelihood. We work through a three,pronged approach: provide research support on key government programs and initiatives, role modelling through on,ground implementation for delivery of public service and deploy technological intervention to improve service delivery mechanisms.Job summary:Swaniti Initiative is looking for an experienced, passionate, self,driven, and qualified professional who is eager to lead engagements of the organization in the public policy space and is excited to do stakeholders, management in parliamentary processes. The professional will be expected to execute outreach activities, come up with knowledge products, manage partnerships and deliver the curated programs with a team of policy analysts and policy associates. The position provides a tremendous opportunity to get exposure to policy processes like outreach, policy research, advocacy, and piloting policy initiatives across diverse sectors in partnership with multinational partners and parliamentary bodies of India.Roles and Responsibilities:Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building:, Reach out to parliamentarians on regular basis and attend physical meetings, Establish consistent communication network with policymakers, Engage with national and multinational partners for coherent relation and curation of projects pertaining to several issues, Engage with potential partners and represent the organization at various platforms, Lead, guide and manage the outreach strategy with the team members, Proactively curate strategies which parliamentarians can execute in their capacityResearch and Project management:, Actively contribute to the research and analysis programs that focus on solving issues pertaining to the delivery of public services, including engagement with both state,level legislative assembly members and Parliamentarians. , Support the team leads in managing various projects and a small team, which would include delegating responsibilities, ensuring delivery of projects, and managing partners relationships. , Plan, conduct, and facilitate policy consultation meetings with parliamentarians, bureaucrats, partners, civil society leaders, and additional policymakers. , Maintain strong communication channels with all relevant partners and stakeholders within Swaniti and externally. , Keep a track of systemic changes and design initiatives that may fix the gaps in policy,making processes Knowledge creation and Documentation:, Ensure the availability of policy briefs for the parliamentarians and other policymakers, Developing insight papers on flagship policy programs of state and central government, Developing proposals, project charters, policy memos, Gantt charts, project activities, and program trackers. , Preparing periodic reports on the development of projects and key learningsEligibility Criteria:, Masters in subjects like Public Policy, Governance, Development Studies, Economics, etc., At Least 4 years of total work experience with minimum of 2 years spent in projects which may have required engagement with lawmakers, Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English and HindiSkill and aptitude required: , Polished communication skills, Systemic thinking ability, Critical thinking ability , Problem Solving attitude, Keen observing ability, Strategic planning ability, Proficiency in MS office and basic IT tools, Nature of the position: Mid,Level, Engagement Type: Full time Joining date: As soon as possibleLocation: New Delhi (HQ) Remuneration: Commensurate with market standards and relevant experienceResume (max 2 page)Cover Letter (1 page)Writing sample on any recent policy issue (750,1000 words)
