Qualification LL. B degree from a reputed college university.
Masters degree company secretary qualification 5 year LL. B degree add on legal qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum 8 10 years of legal experience in a leading organisation, with a solid track record in contract negotiation, drafting and contracts life cycle management.
Expert level understanding of contractual laws matters issues and generally of various general, commercial and economic laws and procedures.
About the position
Senior Manager Legal will be one of the key resources in the organizations Corporate Legal Department, with direct responsibility for contracts life cycle management, drafting vetting of agreements, putting in place adequate legal governance processes, provide legal advise and opinion to stakeholders, manage the entire architecture on Legal side of Group business (Group policy wordings, Trust related work, opinions, interface with clients etc) and protect companyâs interest, control and mitigate legal contractual risks, ensure proper indemnification, and preparation of legal analysis opinions, tenders, policies and expression of interests.
The Candidate is expected to own interalia the entire contracts management and contracts lifecycle activity, implement appropriate legal policies, procedures and frameworks to institutionalise processes, reduce mitigate manage contractual and other legal risks and take the activities to ânext levelâ.
For this purpose, the candidate is expected to
a) Effectively lead the area of his her activities
b) Establish a strong governance framework to track progress and take proactive steps
c) Establish requisite controls to prevent mitigate risks and have robust controls
d) Provide tactical direction to the team, and their supervision, training and development as necessary.
