Our Client   


Our client is a North American construction management firm headquartered in Toronto, with offices located in Vancouver, Montreal, and Chicago that has been experiencing 100% year. They specialize in Institutional, Retail, Hospitality, and corporate construction with a focus on the North American market.    


The Opportunity     


Due to their 100% year-over-year growth over the last few years, our client is seeking a Site Superintendent (Hospitality) to step in and join their construction management team in Vancouver, focusing on their Hospitality projects. You will be working on a host of projects that include some of Canada’s most famous and well-known restaurants, and other exciting Hospitality related projects! You will be tasked with lending support to the project manager to deliver projects and tasks on time all the while providing superior leadership and adhering to safety protocols.  


Key Responsibilities


-Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Construction Superintendent is responsible for directing, organizing, and controlling all project activities from the site  


-Supervise all sub-contractors in the execution of construction activities ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget 


-Responsible for scheduling, inspections, and quality control, including adherence to and enforcement of the Occupational Health & Safety Management Program  


-Carry out supervisory responsibilities following policies and applicable laws/standards and authorities having jurisdiction 


-Coordinate in delivering hospitality construction projects of varying magnitude and complexity  


Education/Experience


-5+ years of Construction Superintendent experience in Hospitality construction (Restaurants, Hotels, etc...)


-Experience with Construction Management software such as Procore


-Ability and openness to travel


-Holds a valid passport

-Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders (Trades, Architects, Tenants, Owner Representatives, as well as Executives) in all forms including written, verbal, email, telephone, and in-person

-Independent and practice a hands-on approach to your role
