PPSLRSWMO currently has an opening for a Sexual Health Training Coordinator.  This is a full-time, benefited position at the Forest Park headquarters in the Central West End.

POSITION TITLE: Sexual Health Training Coordinator
STATUS: Full Time, Exempt                 
REPORTS TO: Director of Education
SALARY RANGE: $35,600-$46,000

POSITION SUMMARY 
PPSLRSWMO is seeking a sexual health education professional to assist in service preparation and implementation within the education department. This position will assist with the development and implementation of trainings for sexual health professionals, both for internal staff and for external partners. The position will also work with the Director of Education to improve onboarding systems, strategic professional development, medical and non-medical staff trainings, and connections to those and supporting services on virtual platforms.
 
This position is funded through June 30, 2022, with the potential for continuation based on funding.
 
PRIMARY DUTIES PERFORMED 
Education and Training
Assist and lead development, implementation, and improvement of internal and external staff training programs, including:
o   Medical and non-medical service providers
o   Affiliate staff
o   The Sex Education Antiracism Training (S.E.A.T.) program, in collaboration with our contracted provider
Partner with additional departments, affiliates, liaisons, consultants, and contracted providers to develop training programs
Improve with departmental training systems, including onboarding and growth tracking
Assist the Education Department with:
o   The implementation of PPSLRSWMO multi-subject Evidence Based Education programs with collaborating partner organizations/schools and community groups
o   Provision of virtual and in-person services as requested.
o   Continuation and improvements of virtual service improvement and expansion.
o   Chat & Text Program
o Staff the Chat/Text line weekly.
o Completes related trainings, routine meetings, and continuing education.
 
Community Engagement & Awareness
Assist the Education Coordinator in initiating and developing relationships with service area organizations to promote PPSLRSWMO education programming, marketing all education programs and services internally and externally of PPSLRSWMO to prospective groups and agencies.
Assists in the maintenance of a database of current and prospective training partnerships and contacts.
Along with other department staff, as needed and appropriate:
o   Represent the Education, Policy, and Community Engagement (EPCE) Department on community coalitions and internal and external committees.
o   Attend networking to raise awareness of affiliate services, including attending community and state forums, interfacing with other agencies, and resolving issues as needed.

Department Quality Assurance
Complete regular output reports, including end-of-month reports for all activities.
Abide by Education Program evaluation systems policies and procedures, working with the Education Department to apply results for service improvement.
Adhere to department policies/procedures/standards, including required online and in-person professional development and continued education requirements.
 
Administrative
May recruit, hire, and manage interns and volunteers.
Assist the Education Department in the following:
o   Reviewing and critiquing films, curricula, books, literature and sexual health/sexuality education materials for purchase.
o   Maintaining brochures/pamphlets/sex education box supply.
o   Completing individual output reports, including end-of-month reports for all activities.
o   Provide assistance as needed to library users.
 
Other responsibilities
Participate in affiliate efforts to achieve established productivity & revenue cycle goals.
Adhere to affiliate policies on service standards, including response to client requests, and the system for addressing client complaints.
Support PPSLRSWMO’s events through attendance as appropriate.
May be trained in and provide Planned Parenthood Experience In This Together trainings.
 
RISK MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE 
Adheres to PPSLRSWMO and department policies and medical standards and guidelines that ensure the provision of the highest quality and most professional services to all PPSLRSWMO clients
Protects PPSLRSWMO's assets from liability including but not limited to assuring proper informed consent has been obtained for any and all medical interventions requiring patient’s consent.
Assures for the physical safety of PPSLRSWMO clients, staff, and volunteers
Protects confidentiality of all PPSLRSWMO clients, donors, Board and all areas of operations
Follows HIPAA privacy and security guidelines
 
QUALIFICATIONS 
Experience
Implementing specific sexual health education and Sexual and Reproductive Health professional training programs
Organizing and assessing program effectiveness
Education/training on racial equity, reproductive justice, and queer identities
Racial justice based planning, organizing, and/or volunteer work
 
Training and demonstrated skills in the following:
Sexual Health education, professional training, & public speaking.
Organizational skills, including project management and tracking.
Microsoft office suite & Google drive features.
Discretion and ethical judgment in all aspects of work.
Dedication to health equity, racial equity, and queer equity
Professional experience, including positive and effective collaboration with individuals and communities from diverse backgrounds.
Clear communication with team, partners, & contracted orgs over multiple communication platforms
Commitment to applying anti-oppression framework
Managing a high volume of work with efficiency
 
Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of:
