Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant
As a member of the Talent Acquisition & Candidate Experience team, the Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for full-cycle recruitment efforts including attracting, assessing, and hiring candidates to fill open requisitions. This position is accountable for meeting the hiring goals of the organization and plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
The Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant partners with hiring leaders and members of the Talent Acquisition & Candidate Experience team to recruit and hire internal and external talent for positions within an assigned portfolio.
Acts as a main point of contact for a portfolio of internal clients for recruitment and selection requests and proactively builds organizational awareness of the assigned portfolio.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with client groups and contributes to enhancing knowledge and ability regarding recruitment practices corporately.
Designs, leads, and manages full cycle recruitment.
Ensures a fair, consistent, efficient, and effective hiring process is followed.
Provides superior service to internal clients and demonstrates a sense of urgency to meet operational requirements.
Ensures all related articles within the collective agreement are considered and consistently applied through the recruitment and selection process.
Delivers an exceptional candidate experience and responds to candidate inquiries in a timely, empathetic, and transparent manner.
Uses workforce planning strategies and corporate succession plans to inform talent acquisition activities, collaborating with peers and cross-functional partners as required.
Forecasts future hiring needs and analyzes market trends that impact labour supply and demand.
Recommends ideas and plans that will contribute to an improved candidate experience.
Identifies opportunities to enhance and fine tune processes and practices aimed at providing value.
Leads departmental projects and initiatives and participates on corporate, divisional, and departmental project committees as required.
Analyzes trends and metrics to develop and/or identify solutions to meet the client group’s needs.
Ensures Service Level Agreement targets are monitored and consistently met.
Proactively identifies and builds candidate pipelines in consideration of the skills required of the workforce of the future.
Sources, establishes, and maintains relationships with targeted post-secondary institutions and community partners.
Degree or diploma in a related field.
5 years’ progressive experience in talent acquisition and corporate recruitment and selection.
Ability to build positive working relationships and provide excellent customer service with a strategic focus.
Ability to understand business needs and translate to effective and impactful recruitment strategies to support talent requirements.
Ability to source and select top talent, including leveraging multiple talent attraction channels.
Proficiency with related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ATS, HRMS), and web recruitment tools, including social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple urgent tasks and deadlines.
Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated agility and resilience working in a fast-paced, changing environment along with the ability to navigate and work through ambiguity and complexity.
Proven problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
