As the national IT Services Division of Konica Minolta Canada, IT Weapons has been delivering IT Services, hybrid cloud solutions, Information Security, connectivity, infrastructure management, and technical support for over 20 years. To simplify the management of complicated IT landscapes, our team helps streamline technology so companies can focus on their business performance, not system performance.

A security consultant will perform vulnerability assessments and penetrations tests and assist clients with securing their infrastructure. A successful candidate will be able to talk about all aspects of security from software development to network design and configuration best practices. Security consultants will be expected to be part of pre-sales activities and to assist with day-to-day security operations and analysis.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform vulnerability and penetration testing
  • Perform security assessments
  • Analyze security data and reports
  • Perform system audits
  • Establish project scope and design workflow solutions for our clients while ensuring client satisfaction during the entire process. .
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, manage priorities, and meet strict deadlines
  • Proven client-facing skills developed in a professional consulting environment
  • Experienced interacting with project stakeholders and vendors
  • Lead resources in the implementation of technical solutions for an array of clients.
  • Strive to understand and improve IT Weapons Design and Build standards
  • Participate in IT Weapons training and recommended certification paths
  • Be available to assist your team members 24/7; on call based on rotating team schedule
  • Be an escalation point for the Service Desk and other Consulting teams at IT Weapons

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 2 years performing vulnerability assessments and penetration tests
  • 5+ years in networking and/or security related functions
  • Preferred certifications in penetration testing (eg. OSCP, CEH, LPT, CPT, CEPT, GPEN, GXPN)
  • Experience implementing security solutions is a plus
  • Experience in event analysis is a plus
  • Audit experience is a plus
  • Training experience is a plus
  • Experience with Firewalls is a plus
  • Experience with Awareness Training is a plus
  • CISSP is a plus
  • Other network vendor certificates are a plus
  • Other security vendor certificates are a plus
