Product Operations Manager

Our Client

Our client is an agriculture-based ‘Robots As A Service’ platform that is combining software with agricultural systems and equipment to automate farming processes. With operations launching from Fresno and throughout California’s central valley, they provide a complete infrastructure for autonomy and in-field data for improving productivity and farm economics. Their platform transforms existing fleets into autonomous functioning units (both air & ground) while collecting and distributing data seamlessly.

In addressing both crucial land use, water scarcity, and unpredictability in labor, the automation of farm equipment ensures that food production is optimized, eliminates human error, and offers cost savings on a very large scale. With backing from Israeli and US investors, they received 48.5M from 3 funding rounds in 2020 and 2021 and are poised for remarkable growth in 2022 and well beyond.

The Opportunity

As a result of new funding and growth and a host of market opportunities, they are seeking a Product Operations Manager to join their ranks and take part in their unique project in the US. In this position, you will be having end-to-end responsibility for the success of the farms in an autonomous operation - assimilating the technological systems along with training and utilization of manpower in a way that will enable high-quality service to the customer. With a definite bend towards driving and owning the product delivery – and troubleshooting all customer issues - you will oversee Team Leaders and Technicians at the farms while holding them accountable to their KPIs while mentoring them towards completion of mission-critical day-to-day tasks. You will also be responsible for the operative processes go as needed - feedback on literature and verification of procedures, routine maintenance, and daily debriefs.

Key Responsibilities

-In-depth knowledge of systems such as LLC, Robot, and Maia.

-Ability to work with this complex autonomous system in agricultural settings

-Ability to suit the different capabilities of the system to certain block and farm conditions

-Accompanying OM duties in assessing and delivering on farm capabilities

-Strong problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize among many conflicting needs, advocate a course of action with a strong sense of ownership, and ability to deliver

-Establishing relationships with cross-functional teams in each of the operations, Dev Support, R&D

-Identifying processes and areas that need improvements and recommending solutions to improve

-Delivering feedback to improve the product, the R&D team and Dev Support, and training

-Flexible and responsive to dynamic situations, while pursuing the execution consistently, with the ability to perform under pressure

-Ability to collect relevant information regarding new farms, blocks, tractors, and implements for understanding needs and reflect the product team

Education/Experience

-Exposure to command-and-control systems, remote monitoring, and autonomous system

-Direct in the field experience interacting with clients to solve significant technical challenges

-Trouble Shooting pedigree with a premium on solving complex customer challenges

-Bonus marks for start-up experience

-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

-Must have a schedule flexible; the ability to periodically work outside of regular hours
