This position is for a Senior Engineer with 20 years of engineering experience in analysis, simulation and modeling of GN&C systems for military and aerospace applications. This opening seeks an innovative thinker who can take technical ideas and concepts, turn them into simulations that form the requirements and design of high performing GN&C systems, and then develop tests to measure their performance in realized systems. In this position you will work closely with, and lead, teams of engineers that develop, design, and evaluate, dynamic systems that make use of innovative navigation sensors and guidance systems for various vehicles and applications.
Skills & Responsibilities:
Candidate must have a strong analytical/mathematical background, with working knowledge of GN&C systems modeling/simulation and algorithm/software design including error modeling. Ability to develop and lead teams developing engineering modeling and simulation software using scripting/modeling tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK or PYTHON is required. Experience in System Requirements Analysis for development and design of real-time embedded software is required. Experience with applications using aided navigation and inertial sensors is required. Knowledge of aided navigation using optimal estimation (Kalman filtering) is required. Engineering project management and/or project proposal writing experience is highly desired. Strong oral communication and technical writing skills required.
Education & Experience Required:
Applicant must have a minimum of MS, or equivalent experience, in Engineering or Physics. Applicant must have at least 20 years of GN&C related work experience, or equivalent education and work experience.
