Job Description

AAA Club Alliance is seeking a Manager of Application Integration to join our dynamic IT team in Hamilton, NJ or Wilmington DE! The Manager of Application Integration acts as the primary contact for design, development and maintenance of system integrations.

The Application Integration Manager works primarily with our clients and developers to translate the needs and requirements of the organization into software enhancements for existing systems, integration of third-party applications, or the development of custom software solutions. The manager is responsible for assisting with the development of strategic design details and specifications in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and assessing the full impact of decisions across the enterprise at the macro level in conjunction with other technical platforms and applications. Additionally, the manager provides oversight of all integration development tactical designs and specifications. The manager directs and supervises activities of the development staff on both a strategic and tactical level to ensure the effective achievement of development, testing and transfer of integrations to production applications. The manager, in addition to responding to client technical systems questions, also communicates to project sponsors and external vendors for corrective actions needed.

Essential Functions: (70%)

Partners with our PMO to compose and maintain project plans that include tasks, deliverables, development schedule, dependencies, milestones, resource requirements, and all associated costs.

Actively participates in IT strategic planning and design, client project organizational project planning, ROI justification of organizational initiatives, time estimates, scope and time line determination.

Participates in governance processes of the company’s go-to-market strategies, technology product roadmaps, and associated technology solutions. Engages with Business and IT Leadership Team for ongoing work prioritization, and high-level issue management. Actively manages direct reports workload and takes corrective actions to match capacity with demand.

Uses critical and conceptual thinking skills to envision the total impact of technology decisions related to risk, benefits, consequences, and dependencies.

Train, coach and enable the development of team members through effective performance management.

Owns the software development lifecycle and institutes a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Cultivate an ongoing partnership with business stakeholders, maintaining knowledge of business operations, strategies, technology requirements, and priorities. Help business users and IT teams work together.

Contribute to the overall success of IT through building strong peer-to-peer relationships with the rest of the IT management team, supporting management decisions with peers and direct reports.

Other Duties and Responsibilities: (30%)

Acts as primary source for design, development and maintenance of system integrations and vendor applications;

Communicates project status to improve to enable accurate completion of assignments and constructive interaction with others;

Proactively manages vendor partner relationships to reduce cost and risks.

Disseminates service request and incident report duties to appropriate staff for resolution.

Acknowledges and abides by Information Security Policies.

Participates in PCI Compliance, including providing evidence for quarterly and yearly audit

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or related field with at least 8 years of development experience in various technologies. Master Degree preferred.

Extensive knowledge in a variety of software and data applications and associated integration patterns

Extensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle experience in Object Oriented utilizing development tools, J2EE and/or .Net along with SQL and/or Oracle,

Critical thinking skills with an ability to understand and envision total impact of decisions (risk, benefits, consequences,) for both the short and long-term.

Excellent oral and written communication to enable constructive interaction with all levels of individuals.

Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.

Demonstrated ability to understand and lead implementation of new technologies.

Strategic experience in architecture designs and ability to lead implementation of new designs.

Expert knowledge of IT and Business Strategic plans and Tactical activities aligned with Strategy.

Expert project management skills and in-depth experience with project management software applications, to track and monitor development and implementation plans successfully.

Demonstrated understanding of accountability, effectiveness, and efficiently produced quality work.

Knowledge and utilization of project planning principles: managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing projects.

Knowledge of micro services architecture

Exposure to cloud based technologies (GCP, Azure) a plus.
