The Role
The Influencer Strategist is a highly curious, creative and collaborative thinker. This person will be a key member of the Influencer Marketing team, primarily focused on developing and executing robust influencer campaigns. The role will also require knowledge and participation in earned, owned and paid channel tactics. The Influencer Strategist possesses a deep understanding of influencer platforms and tools, and has a passion for discovering new ways to execute innovative brand campaigns.  
This role is tasked with looking for new opportunities for growth and innovation to maintain Mekanism’s position as an industry leader, and requires strong technical, service, team and business management skills. 
Desired results of this position: fulfill client objectives, and smoothly execute influencer campaigns on social media platforms.  

Key Areas of Responsibility
Collaborate with internal teams on creator strategyTalent identification, outreach, negotiations, ideation and measurementManage influencers/creators to ensure we are on time, on strategy and within budgetGuide clients through talent selection, creative reviews and post-campaign learnings
Outreach and Management - Well versed in the influencer marketing space and ability to source and identify talentFoster and retain relationships with influencers and their management teams Assist in the negotiations and creation of all SOW’s for influencer programsAct as client facing representative on programs Communicate progress and status to the client and internal agency teamsCreate campaign briefs and work directly with influencers and their teams throughout the content development processTrack budgets and schedules to ensure we are on time and on budgetParticipate in planning and coordination of influencer/brand eventsSupport team/account lead on projects from start to finish
Strategy - Become the brand team’s resident expert on emerging platforms for creatorsCollaborate on development of influencer/creator programs Develop influencer strategy approaches and proposalsCollaborate with internal teams to develop innovative influencer programsUnderstand the other marketing channels in order to integrate influencers and/or influencer content into them seamlesslyPitch & present rationale for approaches
Research & Reporting - Proactively identify partnerships and vendors for influencer content developmentAssist in establishing influencer marketing benchmarks for campaign reportingProspect for new influencer platforms, social channels and capabilitiesTrack & translate campaign data into reports with actionable insights

Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a similar role (in-house, agency or talent management firm)Enthusiastic about working with creators/influencers
Collaborative and outgoing, with strong leadership skills
A real passion for all things social media
