indiagold is a technology led asset monetisation platform that enables lending institutions, to launch & grow their gold loan book across geographies, without investing in operations, technology or people or taking any valuation, storage or transit risks, while maintaining the required compliance standards. Basically, we offer a Gold,Loan,As,A,Service platform that allows Banks,NBFCs to enjoy the good stuff of gold loans without the bad stuff. Gold is the start but not the only asset we, ll financialise. Our use of deep,tech is changing how gold loans have been done traditionally. Some examples of our innovation are , lending against digital gold, 100% paperless,digital loan onboarding process, computer vision to test gold purity as opposed to manual testing, auto,scheduling of feet,on,street, customer self,onboarding, gold locker model to expand TAM & launch zero,touch gold loans, zero network business app & many more. Our founders are consumer internet veterans Nitin Misra & Deepak Abbot. Since mobile internet started in India, they have been working on mobile consumer products & distribution. They were instrumental in building & scaling Paytm's payments, digital gold & pay it later businesses across technology, distribution, operations, marketing & risk management. In the last 12 months, we, ve got backing from VC funds such as Prosus , PayU (one of the largest global technology venture funds, also known as Naspers), Falcon Edge , Alpha Wave Incubation (a global asset management fund), Leo Capital (Seed fund by Rajul Garg, Co,founder Pine Labs), Better Tomorrow Ventures (a Silicon Valley based early,stage fund) & Rain Matter Capital (Zerodha's VC fund). On a day,to,day basis, the roles and responsibilities would include:, Working in close coordination with business, legal, compliance, risk, and engineering teams to create and implement a decisive project plan and strategy from product development to launching of the new products, Driving industry partnerships and relationships with respective partners , Representing the voice of the end consumer throughout the development process and facilitating new product rollout, Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve short, and long,term growth targets, Keeping track on best industry practices and perform industry benchmarking, Explore new 3rd party products and services that bank can leverage for its journeys , Act as key authority and point of contact for project development and control , Managing growth targets and launching new cities across IndiaPlease don't hesitate to apply if you don't check all the boxes, we welcome applications from all candidates who are genuinely interested and sufficiently driven to solve a problem.What we're buildingWe believe that the opportunity in gold loans lies in not just the ~$45 bn organized or ~$120 bn unorganized market but in the ~$900 bn worth untapped collateral ($1.4 Tn worth of gold that Indian households own x 70% LTV), most of which is lying as a dead asset in peoples, homes & can be used to meet India's rising credit demand. We need a solution that succeeds where GMS (gold monetization scheme) & Gold Loans have failed.
