Human Resources (HR) Coordinator

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a People and Organization Coordinator (P&O) to join our Mining & Minerals business located in our Saskatoon, SK office location. Reporting to the Senior Manager, P&O, the successful candidate will work closely with the local and internationally based P&O teams to support and deliver core HR services while developing themselves further for future opportunities within Wood's overall P&O function.

Key Responsibilities

Support P&O activities as required in support of the employee life cycle

Assist the relevant P&O team with planning and delivery of specific work activities

Support line managers with basic P&O activity and queries

Coordinate events/P&O programs as required

Develop a full understanding and ability to effectively navigate within Wood’s HRIS system(s)

Lead initiatives associated with new hire processes, record and file maintenance, and data entry

Work within defined processes and procedures, escalating as required

Prepare routine employment-related letters and memoranda for managers’ review and presentation

Support in the collection of information and data for reporting and presentation purposes

Populate templates and create documents to support internal work processes

Maintain appropriate databases

Create records and update systems

Communicate progress and clarify process steps required to resolve queries

Produce regular scheduled and/or ad-hoc reports and data as requested

Skills / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field is preferred

HR Professional Certification, having either obtained and/or are seeking, and previous experience in an HR environment is also preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and SharePoint is highly desired

Ability to maintain confidentiality and protection of sensitive business and personal information is required

Highly developed interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills

Strong commitment to internal and external customer service

Strong attention to detail with focus on quality

Strong reporting capability to execute various reports, spreadsheets and presentations as needed

Problem solving, solution-oriented, and proven self-starter

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with aggressive deadlines

Strong written and oral communications skills

Authorization to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.
