Responsibilities

Primary Duties include:

Assist Press Operator in producing cartons on legacy Flexographic printing presses

Fast-paced team oriented environment where effective communication and attention to detail are critical

Make sure raw materials (board stock, ink) are ready and maintained minimizing changeover time between products

Perform critical quality checks on material

Act as backup and run press for Press Operator as needed

Act as a backup to stack cartons for Production Associates as needed

Support Press Operator in troubleshooting equipment and printing issues

Perform auxiliary tasks such as splicing between roles and changing over inks

Monitor production, while following standard processes and procedures to produce quality cartons.

Use electronic barcode scanning equipment.

Assist with machine uptime by responding to and communicating maintenance issues.

Utilize manual and lift equipment.

Learn, understand and follow “lock out/tag out” procedures

Utilize hand tools to maintain equipment.

Make adjustments to machinery to assist with the production process.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Communicate well with line operator.

Complete required operational paperwork.

Comply with facility Safe Quality Foods and Safety Requirements when performing work duties.

Ability to stand, lift, reach, bend and twist while performing tasks that are near, within and around machinery.

Utilize standard operating procedures to perform job tasks.

Qualifications

Requirements for success:

Experience running or assisting lead operator in running Flexographic Press Equipment Required

Expectation is that you will be able to run / assist with little to no training

High energy

Ability to work independently and within a team

Attention to detail

Team oriented

Strong communication skills

Ability to work fast and perform multiple tasks

The Evergreen Packaging Olmsted Falls Carton Converting Facility is located in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, just outside Cleveland Ohio and its amenities, including access to Lake Erie. Opened in 1956 and employing 170 team members, the facility prints and die cuts refrigerated gable top cartons for a variety of national and regional brands, primarily supplying important dairy nutrition to schoolchildren throughout the US.
