Role Title : Head , Strategy (India market)Type : People Manager (Direct reports: 4, Team size: 8)Reporting to : Head , Commercial ExcellenceLocation : HyderabadPurpose: To lead the Overall Strategy planning process for India business which includes Long range planning, Strategic initiatives, Growth ideas, Performance diagnostics, Budgeting, New product launch excellence and Competitive intelligenceResponsibilities:Drive GG India long term strategy :, Design strategic planning and framework for the business considering current capabilities and future growth aspirations, Collaborate with S&M heads, broader Marketing and Medical teams to devise 5,year therapy area (TA) level plans , how we want to expand , grow in focusing on TA's, Articulate the strategy to internal stake,holders in correct and consistent manner, Facilitate allocation of near team , resource & budget decisions in line with strategic plan, Periodic monitoring and reviews of the plans and ensure course correction if required, Drive translation of strategic planning outcomes into planning guidance for other functions (e.g., manufacturing, R&D)Design and monitor Strategic initiatives : , Work with India leadership team and external experts to ideate, evaluate, assess ideas beyond current scope of business (e.g., new markets to enter, new channels, new partnerships to form, new capabilities etc), Anchor Initiatives , projects of various scope & scale basis business needs, Once these are launched, monitor the progress on these initiativesDrive new products launch excellence :, Drive NP launch excellence programs for the entire organization, Ensure adequate pre,planning and resourcing to get sizable uptake for the new launches, Monitor performance of the launches post launch through targeted market research activitiesDeliver competitive intelligence :, Devise novel techniques to gauge competitors information, Monitor new initiatives of business consequence being launched by major competitors and Government; assess impact and design action planDrive GG India HO budgeting process :, Define the budgeting principles in line with the Strategic priorities of GG India and Dr Reddy's, Run the PMO for the budgeting process which includes , timelines, strategic initiatives evaluation, NP discussion, HQ rationalisation, product rationalisation, product switches, POV on growth, focus brand aspiration, NRV circulation, variable cost from backend, OE workings, bottom up forecast, divisional P&L, India presentation, Corporate presentation, GatingStrategic investments :, Create resource allocation guidelines across business and functions, Identifying long term areas of capability building in line with the Strat plan and ensuring time bound budgeting and funding for them: Marketing, Sales, Medical, Digital, Strategy, SFE, Analytics, Competitive intelligence, TrainingDriving commercial excellence :, Integrate commercial excellence efforts across Strategic Marketing and Sales Force Excellence teams and ensure holistic design, implementation and monitoring of near term and long term performance improvement projects; , Support activities to drive marketing excellence and marketing effectiveness across the sales and marketing teams; collaborate with analytics teams to drive advanced analytical projects to drive deeper insights on commercial business performance at deeper levels of granularity, Support efforts of S&M teams to improve performance of low,performing teams,brands and ensure adequate efforts are taken to leverage the potential of various growth areasEducation & Experience : Graduate in Science,Pharmacy with MBA (either Marketing and Strategy) with a minimum of 10,12 years of exposure in pharma strategyBusiness Understanding : In,depth understanding of the pharma business models, entire development,to,sales process, global and domestic trends, demand and supply drivers, revenue and cost drivers, long term planning, change management, project management, stakeholder managementTechnical skills : Industry in,depth understanding, Value chain understanding, Strategic thinking, Analytics, Market trends analysis and implications, Ability to translate Strategy to action, Project,program management skillsBehavioural skills : Influencing skills, Ability to anticipate and drive change, Agile, Negotiation skills, Collaborative, Persistence, Outcome oriented
