Job Description


The Director of Fiinance Share Services is responsible to lead the Finance operations and growth strategy of the Shared Service Center and ensure efficient service delivery for the properties in line with the Service Level Agreements and KPIs set. The Director of Finance Shared Services is responsible to establish a value driven and consistent culture across the finance organization that is metrics driven, outcome oriented, process based and focuses on continuous improvement in alignment with Marriott Policies< p>

As a leader, the Director of Finance Shared Services will implement strategy to manage finance operations with efficiency and effectiveness while innovating new and existing finance services through strategic partnerships< p>


Education and Experience< b> < p>

  • 5 years’ experience in a leadership position managing a team is required.< li>
  • 4 year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent required. < li>
  • Experience in lodging or service industry is strongly recommended.< li>
  • In depth understanding and performing balance sheet reconciliatinss is required< li>
  • Understanding of general finance reporting (P&L, Budget, KPIs) is required. < li>
  • Ability to develop budgets and effectively manage costs is required< li>
  • Experience in implementing a sound internal control environment is required< li>
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills < li>
  • Strong team leadership skills are required.< li>
  • Knowledge of Marriott internal policies is recommended< li>
  • Knowledge of systems such as Opera and PeopeSoft are strongly recommended< li>


    Managing Work, Projects, and Policies < b> < p>

  • Develop and implement the SSC strategy in line with Service Level Agreements.< li>
  • Facilitate seamless integration of additional functions into shared services organization with minimal business disruption.< li>
  • Develop and implement long term strategies for the finance shared services organization while being flexible to accommodate changing business needs.< li>
  • Create effective partnership between MBS and properties serviced by the SSC. < li>
  • Manage operations with efficiency and effectiveness while innovating new and existing finance services.< li>
  • Responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and funding of the SSC resources and activities. < li>
  • Cultivate and enhance effective relationships with the businesses to understand current and future business need.< li>
  • Drive cultural change and acceptance of new finance operating model across the enterprise.< li>
  • Foster a “customer service” focus throughout the finance organization and be viewed as a change leader.< li>
  • Monitor and ensure metrics and KPIs are met as set in the SLAs.< li>
  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc. to various stakeholders.< li>
  • Ensure that SSC associates comply with local laws and company’s internal policies.< li>
