Job Description



The Role:









We are in early stages of building out the analytics team, infrastructure, and monitoring of our business. We are seeking a Director of Growth & Product Analytics who will empower decision makers across the organization, build a data-informed culture and drive requirements for the data platform.


This is an individual contributor role, but the role requires significant cross-functional leadership to succeed. You will work with executives, business, and technology leaders to influence our product and growth strategy. Over time, we expect the role to lead a team of analysts as we create internal demand for insights by delivering high-quality actionable dashboards and analyses.


The areas that you will span across include:



  • Growth Analytics: Customer Acquisition & Retention Analytics

  • Product Analytics: Help inform the product strategy and execution


We are building out a modern data warehouse and mar-tech stack using Snowflake, Fivetran, Heap, Looker, Segment, and other products. 








Responsibilities:







  • Become a subject-matter expert on key drivers of our business. Learn what questions to ask in addition to answering important ones.

  • Influence executives, business, and technology leaders to drive meaningful business growth using product and marketing analytics.

  • Define and evangelize key business metrics, dashboards & analyses and operationalize them to drive meaningful impact.

  • Partner with data engineering to build out a high-quality data platform

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to improve instrumentation and data-driven product development








Requirements:







  • You communicate clearly and can effectively persuade diverse audiences using data (execs, marketing, product, sales, engineering, etc.).

  • You build strong trusted relationships with engineers, product, and business stakeholders to create a high-performing team culture.

  • You are independent and prioritize well. You can break down broad, amorphous business questions into clear reports and analyses.

  • You have an eye for detail. You catch and resolve data quality issues before others do.

  • You have hands-on and deep experience building dashboards, reports and operationalizing
    them.

  • You are proficient in SQL and at least one major Business Intelligence tool (e.g., Tableau,
    Looker, etc.). Looker experience is desired.

  • You have experience supporting product analytics using tools like Heap, GA, Mixpanel, etc.

  • You have at 8+ years of relevant work experience.






Preferred Qualifications:





  • Acquisition marketing, customer experience, product analytics, experimentation experience is highly desired 

  • Statistics knowledge is a plus 

  • Experience working in consumer-tech is desired
