Job Summary 
This self-starter role is a leading contributor to competitive intelligence initiatives and overall market analysis delivering data-driven insights to inform key account decisions, support price positioning, and enable strategic account teams to execute effectively in the field.  The incumbent is responsible for the collection and analysis of the market, sales, and competitive information to generate meaningful evaluations and strategic pricing solutions that improve competitiveness.  They will deliver insights to maximize profitable growth while continuously monitoring markets to ensure pricing is in line with market conditions. They will also plan, direct, and coordinate all phases of our competitive intelligence infrastructure including communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders. 
Role and Responsibilities
Conduct research using a variety of internal and external sources, including stakeholder interviews, and apply structure to the information gathered to develop a “living” and actionable competitor and market intelligence framework
Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative information, transforming it into a warehouse to build a competitive intelligence platform with actionable insights
Conduct in-depth research on competitors’ services and GTM strategy, craft crisp and compelling positioning and messaging, provide briefings and updates, and support field teams with knowledge and training
Partner with stakeholders across strategy, operations, marketing, and strategic accounts to understand and advise on our competitive strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and develop proactive strategies that assist in mitigating risk exposure or profit potential
Develop professional competitive intelligence briefs for the board of directors, executive staff, steering committee, and appropriate documents to enable our strategic account team to maximize upsell rates
Manage relationships of third-party vendors to effectively collect and warehouse competitive intelligence data
Perform research to generate an in-depth analysis of industry competitors, strategies, technologies, clients, customers, influencers, and market trends
Administration of formal protocols, policies, and tools for the collection, assessment, classification, storage, and dissemination of competitive information

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Business, Strategy, Economics, Market Research, or other related fields
Master’s Degree Preferred in related discipline
Ability to search and extract information from large databases and analyze conflicting and incomplete data to reach analytically-based conclusions
Analytical skills, with the ability to see implications and provide consultative solutions and recommendations
A high degree of collaboration and communication, both oral and written, is expected and encouraged for success in this role
Ability to solicit feedback from cross-functional stakeholders that can be translated into business requirements/specifications
Proficient in the utilization of MS products (Excel, Word, PPT, and Outlook)
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx/SQL, Python/R preferred
5+ years experience in competitive intelligence or related research roles, preferably in the collision repair industry
