Job Description

Assistant manager Market researchKey Responsibilities End to end project management to ensure robustness of MR initiatives across all categories from brief initiation to translating research results into actionable insights in consultation with line manager and cross functional teams (CFTs) Discussing and finalizing research brief with Brand Team, R&D team & PPG team Coordinating with multiple external vendors and or PPG team (for internal MR auditors) to arrange for best quote, timely receipt of research related documents and deliverables Seeking & following up on approval of budget from Brand team on the project estimate and facilitating process of PO creation from Commercial team to commission the project Briefing the vendors on research objectives, design & methodology, information areas, questionnaire design, analysis requirement, output format etc. Reviewing questionnaires, study schedule, field coordination and study implementation Travelling and supervising consumer interviews during fieldwork execution by TPAs to ensure that quality standards are being met Physically conducting Face to Face consumer interviews to a) aid Brand Managers with quick & crude solutions to research questions and or b) to directly collect information and understand the consumer firsthand Closely monitoring all research projects across categories in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the research calendar & budget maintaining daily pipeline status report to that effect Independent & proactive solutioneering to address any contingencies that might arise, in consultation with line manager and all concerned stakeholders Finalizing research results with brand and R&D team for implementation Coordinating with Brand team, PPG team & Commercial team for initiation and timely & accurate disbursement of payments to external vendors & MR auditors Scanning for secondary sources of information a) for understanding latest consumer and industry trends as an input into organization brand strategy and b) to aid in supporting results from primary research in order to create a holistic output Synergizing with the MR team members (both at Marketing and R&D) as well as all CFTs to deliver best results and help in successfully fulfilling the CFT KRAs Scouting for new vendors and service providers to improve the market research resources database Systematic indexing and storage of all MR related documents in database for future reference in coordination with IT teamDesired Skills Competencies In depth knowledge & understanding of various consumer research tools, techniques & processes both quantitative & qualitative, primary & secondary Basic knowledge of syndicated data Nielsen, Kantar HH Panel, etc. Strong multi tasking capabilities and willingness to deliver in a busy fast paced environment Impressive communication skills Verbal & Written should be outspoken in nature and fluent in at least English & Hindi Excellent presentation (PPT) and analytical (Excel) skills Team player with ability to establish rapport & credibility quickly High drive for results and have the capability to successfully navigate ambiguous situations Team management skills should be able to guide a team as & when required
