Business Development Manager Loop - French Speaker

In May 2019, TerraCycle launched its newest initiative, Loop, a global circular shopping system that

enables brands, retailers and consumers to transition from single-use disposable materials to reusable,

durable packaging, washed by Loop and refilled by the brands. Loop has engaged many of the world's

largest consumer product companies (including P&G, Nestlé, Unilever, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and

Mondēlez) and many of the world’s largest retailers in this platform. In December 2020, Loop launched in

France, and the model is now scaling fast, with retail partners the US, the UK, and Japan.

Job Overview –

Loop is hiring a Business Development Manager with a focus on the French market with 5+ years’

experience within commercial teams, working knowledge of the CPG industry and proven ability to

manage direct reports and autonomously close new business.

This role will report to the Global Sr. Director, Business Development.

Primary Responsibilities:

Build, drive and manage a continuous pipeline of opportunities, progressing deals autonomously. Research potential partners (retailers, brands and other) and identify key points of contact. Utilize industry knowledge to inform prospecting approach. Prepare story-led presentations and commercial proposals. Evaluate the commercial and business opportunity of key deals. Build and activate a robust prospecting strategy, with support from the Business Development leaderhip, own all prospecting activities in the French market (events, cold-calling, emails)

Manage prospects through the entire sales cycle, negotiate and close new partnerships for Loop

Collaborate with other teams across Loop and TerraCycle to support the business development activities in France. Work with senior team members in Europe and globally to assist in scheduling, meetings, and business development activities. Coordinate and collaborate with other members of the Loop team to develop strategic projects. Requirements/Skills: Bilingual, French and English Excellent research, writing and communication skills in French and English. 5+ years relevant work experience in a sales/ business development function. Experience in managing direct reports in a commercial team Strong commercial experience Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level Proven ability to drive the deals from prospect to close Ability to work well in fast paced environment with multiple projects Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint & Excel Ability to balance long term strategy with practical realities Ability to handle situations in an emotionally intelligent manner
