Incubate and lead the Sourcing & Procurement Business Consulting practice, in line with the organizational strategy and goals.

Define the practice vision and growth strategy and then put in place operational plans to execute and monitor the same.

Build upon the existing successes, achieve long term Practice growth in line with business goals and transform it to a full fledged Business Unit.

Your key areas of responsibilities will include

Portfolio of Offerings Conceptualizing, incubating, taking to market and maturing Sourcing Procurement specific, business value driven offerings that address contemporary and strategic Business challenges and help to keep us continuously relevant to our customers and that promote the Bristlecone brand and positioning

Thought Leadership & nurturing CPO Executive networks Build a brand at a personal, practice and Organization level that stands for Thought leadership and Trusted advisor to client Executive teams. Build and nurture CPO community thereby multiplying opportunities for Bristlecone through a Value of networks based approach.

Demand Generation Support Supporting other organizational entities, including the Sales organization and broader Procurement practice to help build up a healthy pipeline for our Services.

Presales Responding to opportunities, both proactive and reactive, by winning customer trust and differentiated value propositions that help drive our business and value growth.

Resource Management Ensuring effective management of practice resources to ensure optimal utilization, effective servicing of upcoming opportunities.

Competency & Capability Development Ensuring continuous evolution of capability to deliver services within Procurement Sourcing in line with relevant business trends.

Talent Engagement Building a team of capable consulting practitioners, aligned with and committed to the organizational and practice vision, and fully engaged to respond to our customer requirements of today, tomorrow and beyond.


15+ years of high quality Sourcing & Procurement experience with a strong grounding in Consulting as well as core functional Industry experience. Track record of engaging CPOs CFOs as your primary stakeholders and architecting long term Spend transformation programs.

Experience in delivering leveraging technology based solutions for enhancing Procurement efficiency and effectiveness would be a definite advantage. You should be a thought leader in the Procurement space, someone who easily commands the respect of customer CPOs.

You should be intimately aware of the current and future challenges our customers face in this space and have a strong streak of innovation as part of your core DNA.

Specifically, you should have

At least 5 years of functional experience in an appropriate function in Procurement. This gives you the foundation to appreciate the nuances and challenges of the Procurement LoB, allows customers to instantly relate to you and helps you understand the real problems and issues and thus deliver relevant services for the same

Strong knowledge of core Procurement concepts and principles and an intimate understanding of current trends in this area

Proven experience of delivering transformation through Procurement business applications (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Zycus, Coupa, etc.) or Leading a program of similar nature on the customer side

Excellent customer handling skills and the ability to win customers trust and confidence based on your expertise in the Procurement area

Experience in driving Pre sales, Sales, Delivery and the Value realization cycle

Excellent communication skills and strong analytical abilities

A strong Consulting approach that allows you to accurately seek the right level of information, perform appropriate analyses and then present the outcome in a easily consumable format, tailored to an Executive audience

Good experience in leading and managing teams, especially those that are geographically distributed

Uncompromising attitude towards achieving results and an infectious level of energy

Preferred Educational Qualifications

Graduate in Engineering (any discipline) with a post graduation in Business Administration. As a recognized practitioner in Sourcing space, a CPSM Certification would be a definite advantage
