PPSLRSWMO currently has an opening for an Accounting Associate. This is a full-time, benefited position at the Forest Park headquarters in the Central West End.
Salary range is $38,000-$49,000. Benefits include, health, dental and vision insurance, employer contribution and match on 403B contributions, 8 weeks paid parental leave, paid holidays, vacation and sick time.

POSITION TITLE: Accounting Associate
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt, Benefited
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
Primary areas of responsibility to include matching and coding of accounts payable invoices, entering information in computer system, producing accounts payable checks, and filing vendor invoices. Secondarily, performs a variety of tasks related to the general ledger system and all journal entries, including but not limited to, the completion of ledger accounts, supporting schedules, financial statements, and other duties as assigned. Key participant during year-end audit. Familiar with a variety of the field work concepts, practices, and procedures. Physical requirements include sitting at desk for extended periods of time and extensive data entry into computer.
PRIMARY DUTIES PERFORMED
· Responsible for the matching and coding of accounts payable invoices, entering information in computer system, producing accounts payable checks, and filing vendor invoices.
· Produce and file 1099 forms for contracted staff.
· Maintain agency records such as leases and contracted personnel.
· Assists in completion of all monthly reports and monthly close process
· Identify account discrepancies and propose corrections as needed
· Assists in completion of worksheets for year-end adjustments
· Assists in preparation of year end documents for auditors.
· Adhere to affiliate policies on professionalism, wait time on the phone, and the system for addressing client complaints.
· Participate in the affiliate efforts to achieve established productivity and revenue cycle goals.

Enjoys working in cooperative team
Associates degree in area of specialty and/or equivalent level of years of experience in the field or in a related area; bachelor's degree in area of specialty preferred
2-3 years prior Accounts Payable experience preferred
