Job Description

This Retail and Consumer Industry Research role is in our Products Research team of ~35 researchers worldwide and who will work directly with other members of the team to support the needs of the practice. Responsibilities will include carrying out research projects and actively contributing to more complex projects led by others. Research requests will be a mix of global and local projects, both for internal Accenture objectives and directly for Accenture clients. While it is assumed the researcher will focus on Retail and Consumer projects, there may be occasions in which they will work on projects outside this core industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities will include carrying out research projects and actively contributing to more complex projects led by others Research requests will be a mix of global and local projects, both for internal Accenture objectives and directly for Accenture clients. Of paramount importance are tenacity, personal drive and an eagerness to learn and apply new skills and knowledge Building an effective working relationship with the executives Analytical & issue based problem solving skills we want researchers who can identify key issues and, in a logical, structured manner, use these issues to drive their efforts. We expect individuals to draw out the implications of the research they conduct and tell a compelling, business focused story about the data that is relevant to Accenture's business and clients. We are looking for insights, not just information BASIC QUALIFICATIONS A Chartered Accountant OR a full time post graduate degree in business administration (MBA PGDM PGDBM) with specialization in Finance (mandatory qualification) Need to be fluent in business English (spoken and written) PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 4+ (max 8 years) Experience preferably in strategy consulting environment, or equity research investment banking. We will also consider third party research or KPO demonstrated equivalent skill Possess deep research and financial analysis expertise, shaping research, analysis and insights that enable Accenture and our clients to generate global impact through identification, development and implementation of proprietary and innovative ideas. Understanding of business and economics issues at large Working experience in a team of research professionals Exposure to deep financial analysis or financial modelling or equity research will be an added advantage Experience with alternative modes of research delivery data visualization tools also a plus (e.g., Tableau etc.)
