
Permit to Work Coordinator-Piping Supervisor
Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Permit Coordinator - Piping Supervisor with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
Ensure that all construction contractors’ supervision and manpower are instructed and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirement
Ensure that contractors working within his discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction project drawings, Specifications, ITP’s, Procedures and Site Instructions
Responsible for the HSES and quality aspects of the work within assigned areas and for ensuring contractors complete their work in accordance with the project schedule
Work with the contractors’ supervision, planning engineers and the Construction Engineer, develop detailed daily and weekly work plans in accordance with the overall planning schedule
Monitor the discipline and timekeeping of contractors’ staff and labor in a defined work area, identifying any disciplinary action required, and informing the relevant Discipline Superintendent
Prioritize field execution sequence and resources when conflict arises
Manage available resources well, optimally and demonstrate a high level of resourcefulness
Assist in organizing safety awareness activities such as toolbox meetings, all safety promotional activities, safety audits, safety meeting
Assist in risk assessment job safety analysis, safety procedures/ checklists, safety records, and documentation
Liaise with site operations staff and Construction Manager on all safety and health issues
Monitoring the subcontractor daily erection, dismantling and Modification of scaffolding
Skills / Qualifications
Overall, a minimum of 10 years experience in the process and/or utility/power construction industry
Experience via assignments or supervisory responsibility in the following areas: field supervision, Quality Control, Welding, Safety Coordination, Planning, etc
Knowledge and familiarity with the methods, practices, crafts, tools, equipment, codes of construction business
