Merchandising Manager

The Merchandising Manager is responsible for the Merchandising Team and on-site vehicle inventory. Even as a manager, this is a fast-paced, hands-on position that owns all processes regarding Shift customers’ ability to view, and purchase inventory both in-store and on-line. Both physical and virtual lot presentations are maintained by the Merchandising team as well as upkeep and processing of sellable inventory. This team also works in close collaboration with Transportation, Sales and Recon Teams to keep tight inventory controls.

What You Will Do:

Responsible for directing and managing sellable inventory to meet customer and Shift expectations.

Responsible for meeting key metrics regarding cost, speed, quality, and customer service; other KPIs as determined by the leadership team.

Contribute towards the achievement and development of Shifts’s strategic and operational objectives.

Maintain merchandising processes, operational controls and managing KPIs in conjunction with other recon sites to share best practices.

Develop strong partnerships with Senior Management, Recon, Fulfillment, Transportation and Sales Management teams.

Make adjustments to the application of processes, team allocation, and areas of focus to ensure cost, quality, and volume targets are met.

Identify areas of opportunity and develop and implement process improvements.

Provide direction to set the Merchandising Team for success after taking into account all relevant information.

Maintain a safe working environment following all safety policies, operations and practices.

Build and develop effective relationships with internal and external vendors.

Work as part of a dynamic team to accomplish company objectives.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures in alignment with Company policy and OSHA guidelines.

What You Will Bring:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Valid Driver's License in applicable state (or ability to obtain upon relocation) and a good driving record.

3+ years of management experience.

2 years of experience in managing automotive inventory or pricing.

Excellent Customer Service skills, good communication skills, and works well within a culture of continuous improvement.

The ability to think quickly, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and problem-solve in real time.

Positive teamwork and conflict resolution skills with a willingness to try new things and take constructive criticism/feedback.

Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Strong interest in the automotive industry.
