Senior Technical Lead SME - IT Service Delivery Manager

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Technical Lead SME to join our enterprise IT Service Delivery Management team. This team member will maintain a detailed understanding of our IT strategy and available services and processes to provide rapid deployment of IT solutions in support of program teams. Critical to enabling mission success, this position requires a customer focused individual that will work closely with senior sector and program leadership across a broad portfolio of customers identifying areas to establish efficient, secure solutions to meet program execution requirements while driving consistency and innovation across enterprise IT services delivered to programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Functions as a technical expert who provides management, leadership in the design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services within a technical environment.

Establish a strong customer relationship with sector and program leadership as the lead IT advisor for enterprise IT services.

Engagement on behalf of the OCIO in projects and Non-Standard Service Requests (NSSR) to support requirements definition, work prioritization, and resource assignment

Lead advocate for mission requirements and IT service execution, driving technical and project execution through hands on engagement with business and functional support teams.

Responsible for technical/operational leadership of a project/mission or group of projects/missions within the portfolio.

Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation.

Provide guidance to programs regarding cybersecurity requirements, policy, standards.

Coordinate with programs to deploy services that support the security of IT resources and improve compliance to established standards.

Vet project/change requests from business groups with Enterprise Architects to ensure alignment with IT strategy.

Ensure Architecture Review Board recommendations are incorporated into projects

Plan and manage projects involving multiple IT disciplines including core/branch network, data center infrastructure, and shared services tools to enable our workforce.

Coordinate with the project team and end user customer(s) to develop project documentation and communications to support technical implementations.

Collaborate on and create requirements documents, schedules, project plans, business case justifications, work breakdowns, etc.

Provide labor and non-labor cost estimates for project initiatives.

Monitor/control IT budget by analyzing business consumption, project execution, demand management, and service standardization.

Communicate daily regarding project status with appropriate team members.

Provide technical consultancy to department staff and participate in business development efforts including proposals, development plans, and presentations, as directed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field and 12-15 years experience or MS 10-13 years experience or Phd and 10+ years of experience. Years of experience may also be considered in lieu of degree.

Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven ability to build close relationships with customers and the supporting services organizations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with in-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and the ITIL service model.

Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to senior leadership and non-technical user communities.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a collaborative environment.

Proven track record demonstrating excellent judgment.

Experience managing complex IT infrastructure and/or software development projects.

Salary RangeSalary Minimum: $77,500 Salary Mid: $155,000 Salary Maximum: $193,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
