Colorado Eye Center is seeking an experienced Medical Front Desk Representative for our Boulder, CO. office. This is your opportunity to join one of the areas most recognized leaders in ophthalmology and optometry. The Colorado Eye Center (CEC) story begins with Dr. Jack May in 1963. He and his colleague, John Faulker, established the Center with one overarching goal: transform the way eye care is seen and approached in Colorado and beyond. Both doctors specialized not only in general optometry but also (and most importantly) inpatient care. From the office they shared, they made sure to operate with a “patient, first” mentality being at the forefront of their efforts. This was the case in 1963. And that legacy of care continues today. Today, Colorado Eye Center has 13 specialized doctors and six facilities. Our practice continues to advance forward, not only keeping up with the standard but innovating past the ‘expected’ to discover the unimaginable.
Our Medical Front Desk Representative will be responsible for checking patients in and out for their ophthalmic/optometric visits, verifying and collecting insurance authorizations, scheduling appointments and in and out bound phone calls as well as computer input.

Responsibilities
Provide gracious, thorough and efficient care to meet the patients needs via face to face communication, phone, email or fax.
Follow all procedures for complete and accurate check in and check out of patients.
Schedule return appointments and set up reminder notifications.
Collects patient data involving medical, demographic and insurance information.
Identify, research and resolve all customer requests.
Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma.
Must have the ability to establish conidence and trust with patients.
Must have the ability to remain calm and professional handling both patient and internal customers that may be difficult or upset.
Have the ability to provide excellent customer service, communication, telephone and grammar skills.
Must have an empathetic and compassionate manner.
Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Ability to perform as part of a team as well as work independently.
