About the Role

Axiom Builders is excited to offer for the first time an internship position in Learning and Development for the January 2023 to April 2023 term. The Learning and Development Intern will gain exposure to various areas while playing a vital role in supporting the planning, implementation, and development of various learning and development programs and initiatives.

The Intern will have the unique opportunity to create an impact on a large scale by supporting the creation and delivery of the Personal Development Program, as well as the Learning Lab. In this role, you will report directly to the Manager of Learning and Development and work closely with the Human Resources team to execute the top priorities. Responsibilities will include:

Creating presentations for training content to support the delivery of various learning and development programs;

Coordinate and schedule the delivery of the learning programs including training sessions, workshops, etc. while applying industry best practices;

Design, implement, and evaluate training and development courses by conducting assessments, research, and evaluations;

Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and participate in stakeholder meetings to create course materials that are accessible to a wide audience;

Conduct continual learning needs assessments;

Collecting pre- and post-training surveys to gather data, generate insights, and suggest opportunities for improvement;

Conduct continual learning needs assessments.

What you Bring

Skills and Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field;

Experience or academic knowledge with organizing virtual and in-person events;

Comfortable working with technology and software (i.e., SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams);

Enjoys working with data to create spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents;

Familiarity with working on data spreadsheets and presentations;

Ability to succinctly collect and communicate data through presentations or concrete submitted materials;

Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal/written) skills with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the business;

Ability to multitask and prioritize between various departments/divisions including corporate, recruitment, talent, and HR;

Previous experience with an LMS program in an L&D or Human Resources Internship would be considered an asset;
