Engineering Test Lab Technician

Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to perform product testing on new and existing products.

Responsibilities

- Perform visual, dimensional, and/or functional testing of products, components, tooling, fixtures, and equipment per written testing protocols, testing requests, specifications, or equipment procedures.- Report test data in the form of a written summary, charts, graphs, or other data analysis.- Research and interpret testing standards, as applicable.- Maintain permanent records and databases of testing performed for historical reference.- Purchase new equipment as necessary.- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED required.- Ability to read/write/understand written instructions; test protocols and test results.- 2 year Associates degree in a Technical field or equivalent work experience, preferred.- Good mechanical skills.

- Minimum 6 months experience in a regulated production environment, preferably in the quality field.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. - Complaint evaluation work requires protective glasses and gloves when working with biologically contaminated returned products.- Work is performed in a laboratory environment.
