TA Instruments - National Sales Manager (India) – Instruments/System

As National Sales Manager – Systems/Instruments, you are an ambassador of Waters and will bring to the market Waters’ products and services. You will demonstrates a clear grasp of understanding the customers’ business and its growth plans, as well as be able to take the knowledge and convert that into a solution and offering from Waters, with a primary aim of bringing “customer success”. This position brings you a great degree of flexibility working in the field. Your role will be designated to either a territory and/or markets.


Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Plan for the India sales, lead India sales to achieve India sales and other financial objectives:

Work closely with the Sales Director, to develop annual sales budgets, develop and implement strategies to grow sales and gain share in targeted India markets.

Develop new and manage existing relationships with strategic channel partners and end customers;

Coordinate resources including marketing needed for business growth;

Provide leadership for all India sales for personal and business development:

Lead sales organization review and development processes;

Direct and manage sales headcount within the agreed budgets;

Manage sales team including goal setting and performance reviews;

Ensure sales are correctly trained, developed and equipped to meet their objectives;

Develop programs and measures for insuring continued productivity improvement within the sales;

Monitor the discount authorization process;

Maintain and communicate knowledge of competitive strategies and deliverables;

Provide voice of customer feedback to APAC management team;

Remain knowledgeable about market and industry trends, competitors and customer strategies;

Assist in the assessment of potential new company acquisition, as appropriate.



Bachelor's Degree or above;

With MBA or EMBA is a plus.

English oral speaking is a must.


At least 10 years proven background in proactive selling;

At least 5 years in the sales management position;

Working background in complex or matrix organization or international company.


Solid understanding of the drives industry and familiarity with the India industrial market;

Is equipped knowledge of drives products and technology;

Advanced social skills to build positive and effective relationships;

Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills


This is a territory-based position with travelling within your designated territory, and occasional travels to other countries for activities such as governance of department, local business support, meetings and training.
