The team

The People team has helped scale At-Bay to 275+ employees globally. As our first HR hire in Canada you’ll have the opportunity to own a region that's of strategic importance to the company’s growth. In this role you’ll report into our Head of People (Joe Schiro) and be part of our HR leadership team. You’ll work closely with our U.S. HR team as well.

You’ll be surrounded by a team that loves what they do and recognizes the enormous responsibility that they have – to create a career experience where our people are empowered and equipped to do their best work.

Role overview

You will be responsible for the day to day HR experience. You’ll support about 50 people and work collaboratively with the U.S. team to deliver on various initiatives surrounding hiring, onboarding, training and career development. In this role you will build, scale and create a culture of continuous improvement.

How you’ll make an impact

By 3 months:

You’ll understand our business and have established relationships across our senior leadership.

You’ll ensure compliance with required local reporting, regulations, and processes

You’ll establish a formal onboarding program that is based on feedback and research

You’ll work with the broader People team to refine our people strategy and execute on critical deliverables to support the needs of the organization and our talent.

You’ll support our hiring efforts through interviews

By 6 months:

You’ll manage all employee benefit programs in our company from wellness, parental, absence to retirement plans.

You’ve established yourself as a supportive and impactful team member for the region

You’ll help coach individuals and managers to best align the skills and aspirations of our talent with business need.

What you’ve already accomplished

You’ve developed and delivered a strong, structured, and scalable people processes and strategy that aligns with the overall company goals.

You’ve successfully supported multiple business units in a growth organization.

You’ve helped design and communicate performance management, L&D and DEI programs in a global organization.

You’ve coached managers on resolving employee relations matters.

Business leaders see you as an integral part of their team. They know to come to you with people driven initiatives.

You've been an advocate for diversity and inclusion and understand how it's a competitive business advantage.
