Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Aerospace and Defence group develops both full custom and semi-custom image sensors and cameras for airborne and space applications.
As the technical leader of one or more projects, you'll be responsible for their overall technical success.
You will lead a team that may include sensor/electronics/mechanical design specialists, process engineers, and test specialists.
As the technical leader, you must have vision to ensure the final product meets customer specifications.
You will work hand-in-hand with the Project Manager to assure overall success of the project and interact with other Teledyne groups including manufacturing, purchasing, and CMOS development.
To be successfull in this role, what we're looking for in you is;
Broad knowledge of process engineering, mechanical design, electronic design, and optics.
Basic understanding of semiconductor theory and CMOS image sensors
Must be a strong team player as well as have the ability to work independently
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Report writing is essential.
Understanding of design for manufacturability and reliability
Experience preparing, revising and reporting on project plans with the support of the Project Manager.
The ideal candidate will also have:
Experience with ECSS and MIL standards
Experience and ability to lead junior designers and test specialists
Occasional travel may be expected to support new customers and product introduction.
Qualifications
Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Physics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Strong, proven industry experience of design/development
Proven experience working within a large multidisciplinary team and excellent communication skills are required
Eligible for Controlled Goods security clearance
