Registered Nurse

Founded in 2007, The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation is dedicated to excelling in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and education. As the largest private practice cancer center in California, The Oncology Institute continues to provide extensive services including state-of-the-art infusion centers, chemotherapy educational sessions, in-house support groups, dietary and nutritional counseling, in-house pharmacy, financial counseling, clinical trials, comprehensive lab testing, and end of life counseling. We also offer support programs to help patients and families cope with the challenges brought on by cancer. Today, the Oncology Institute has served over 100,000 patients.

The Registered Nurse (RN) duties include:

The overall direction and supervision of all patient care during his/her shift.

Mix Immunotherapy, chemotherapy as ordered

Administer IV therapy as ordered by MD

Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing patient care.

Satisfies the established standards of the nursing practice.

Supervises and delegates patient care tasks to LVN and other patient care team members.

Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.

Preform adequate patient assessments prior to admin.

Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Two or more years of as a Registered Nurse (RN) is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

A Registered Nurse who is currently licensed to practice, in good standing, by the state of employment. (TX)

Must maintain current ACLS certification throughout employment.

ACLS certification is required upon hire.
