Technician I - Civil Engineering

This position is responsible for providing design support to engineers for site/commercial and residential land development projects. Responsibilities Prepare and/or revise construction and planning documents as well as exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projectsUtilize basic AutoCAD functions in daily workUnderstand and learn entry-level Civil 3D functions and complete construction documentsAbility to follow and implement Pape-Dawson QA/QC and agency checklists into construction documentsCoordinate and communicate with project team in engineering, production, design and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlinesUnderstand and use established company standards for draftingAnalyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawingsInform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and request work when neededMaintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team membersFlexible in work assignments and team assignments Qualifications Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Design / Associates degree in technology with a civil specialization, is preferred yet not requiredWorking knowledge in AutoCAD, preferably with Civil 3D- 2019 or current version Detail oriented with high level of accuracyEffective communications and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationshipsMust be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needsMust be able to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. is an AA/EEO employer.
