Corporate Affairs

The Corporate Affairs group is the eyes, ears and public face of the organisation. It leads on strategy and is responsible for influencing and strengthening the internal and external landscapes that surrounds and impacts NewGlobe and its growing portfolio. The Corporate Affairs group is responsible for the public reputation of NewGlobe and its programmes, creating environments that support programmatic growth through engaging with stakeholders, influencing policy making and designing impactful communications.

The Corporate Affairs strategy is based upon a deep understanding, and awareness of, national and global trends, policies, regulatory changes and current affairs. It leads the overall strategic direction and implementation of initiatives and strategies across multiple channels, audiences and geographies.

The Corporate Affairs group always takes both a national and global perspective and is highly attuned to the nuances of frequently evolving politics and policy issues. Its work is based upon both an in depth understanding of NewGlobe, its programmes and the broader global and national education landscapes in which it operates. Through this, it devises strategies that connects NewGlobe’s programming with a diverse, and ever-expanding set of stakeholders.

Internal Communications

The Internal Communications team is housed with the Corporate Affairs group. It collaborates across departments and programmes to execute compelling internal communications strategies, plans and initiatives. The Internal communications team works to engage and inspire employees locally and globally; bringing culturally and geographically diverse teams together in support of our vision. It works to build a vibrant culture that celebrates success on an individual and collective level, connecting employees locally, nationally and globally.

About the Role

NewGlobe is looking for a Multimedia Communications Officer within the Internal Communications team to support the development of an internal communications function across multiple continents and programmes, playing a vital role in informing, engaging and inspiring employees globally. As the Multimedia Communications Officer, you will support the Internal Communications Manager and Director in the execution of NewGlobe’s overarching Internal Communications Strategy.

You will be a passionate storyteller and have experience in visual communications across multiple channels including digital and non-digital platforms.

Our ideal candidate will have a background in creating content especially visual-related content including videos, and graphic design, and the ability to edit both photos and videos, development of online posts, and use digital tools.

This is a collaborative role working to help implement our internal communications strategy, and collect and share best practices and success stories. You will demonstrate excellent knowledge of a broad range of internal communication channels and tools and their use; and strong interpersonal skills. You will develop compelling and impactful content that showcases the breadth and variety of the work and people at NewGlobe.

What You Will Do

Support end-to-end development of communications campaigns, projects and deliverables, including executing communications strategy, writing/editing content, designing material for digital and print, photography, videography, editing of photos and videos, content management tools including google based intranet, graphic design and periodic updates of the intranet.

Support the development and implementation of communication strategies, including general communications and employee-focused communications, in line with the organization’s vision, strategy and values.

Maintain Internal communication channels, adapting and improving them in line with organisational goals

Help drive and execute internal communications (intranet, social media, email/text campaigns, sendinblue, word press, meltwater, google analytics, zoom etc.). As needed and in association with Information Technology (IT), help develop and implement an intranet/digital workplace that meets the communications needs of key internal stakeholders.

Support the creation and management of a company Alumni platform

Support the development and execution of internal communications strategies, tactics and deliverables, including the intranet, newsletters, town halls etc

Maintain communications calendars and/or budgets for all critical internal communications campaigns

What You Should Have

Minimum first degree in Communications or related field.

Minimum of 3 years related experience in Digital Marketing, Graphic Design and Video Editing and Marketing Communications

Exceptional design and editing skills, writing, grammar and editing skills, and strong verbal interpersonal skills

Experience in digital communications including intranet, video editing, email marketing tools, analytics

Experience in executing virtual and physical company events including webinars, town halls and other events

Proven ability to film, collate, produce and edit multimedia content; including video editing.

Experience managing websites and/or working with websites and other technology vendors and consultants, including WordPress and Salsa Labs.

Experience using marketing/newsletter platforms for email distribution such as MailChimp

Experience in collecting data from various sources, and ability to analyze and present findings clearly

Proven ability to prioritize and organize own workload effectively and efficiently and meet deadlines.

Well-developed ability to work well with others as part of a team, provide support as required, and build and maintain effective working relationships.

Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Strong time management and organizational skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of various software packages such as Microsoft office, word press, sendinblue, meltwater, sprout social, Premier Pro etc.
