Tier 2 Audio Visual Field Technician

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Act as technical expert on AV Installation Team – Commissioning and Programming included

Responsible for Software Upgrades and Commissioning of equipment such as Crestron and Extron hardware

Installation and de-installation of AV/TelePresence products

Configuration of endpoints and infrastructure

Preparation of room audits ensuring technology can work at an optimum level

Performs preventative maintenance to ensure equipment and room are ready for use

Responsible for identifying defective/failed equipment and providing solutions

Completion of Post Installation Assessments

Perform on site User Acceptance testing

Install software upgrades

Act as a point of escalation for technical issues and provide solutions for ongoing faults

Working as part of the EOS team providing AV solutions and services on site interfacing with the designated client in line with the customer requirements and service level agreement

Communicates with management team throughout the day, as it relates to assignments

Project reporting and updating

Document and report hardware failures also Manages Break/Fix and RMA requests as needed

Supervise, instruct and help with rack building processes

Travel to customer sites nationally as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Must have technical experience with software upgrades/programs including the following equipment:

Control (Crestron, AMX, Extron)

Audio (BIAMP, QSC, POLYCOM)

Video (Cisco, Polycom, Zoom and Microsoft Teams)

Must have similar experience working on AV/ VC integrations

Must be agile, and exhibit a strong sense of urgency

Must be responsive, efficient, have excellent customer interaction, and exhibit a high level of professionalism

The ideal candidate will not find difficult tech problems deterring or frustrating, but intriguing and will welcome the challenge

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment, under immense pressure. The pace requires independent and confident thinking, self-motivation and determination

Must be engaged in the process of technical development

Be eligible, willing and able to work and travel globally when required

Responsible and reliable, capable of working alone as well as part of a team

Good organization and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities

Good written and verbal communication skills
