The PMO Team Lead will oversee the development and implementation of the PMO function as well as operate as a Senior Project Manager on a smaller scope of projects than the rest of the team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing both large-scale projects and high volume of projects from start to finish, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and stay within budget. He or she will be a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and will be able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders. The PMO Team Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the Project Management Team is organized to support the Agency in delivering all projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities / Responsabilités
Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters, including but not limited to scope, schedule, budget, risks/issues, and quality based on Agency Standards/historical
Lead a team of Project managers and ensure they are set up for success
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Accounts, Strategy, Creative, Medical and project team members throughout the project lifecycle
Define project objectives, success criteria, and deliverables in collaboration with the Strategy, creative and medical departments
Develop and execute detailed project plans, ensuring that all project activities are properly sequenced and resourced
Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and health against established metrics, thresholds, and baselines
Identify, track, and resolve issues and risks proactively, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution
Manage and control changes to the project baseline in accordance with established change management processes
Facilitate regular project status meetings and other communications forums as needed
Prepare and distribute accurate and timely project reports, presentations, and other artifacts as required
Conduct post-project reviews to document lessons learned and identify opportunities for process improvement
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
Perform other duties as assigned
Lead all project management activities for assigned brands, from project scoping to final delivery and key checkpoints in between
Orchestrate Client Service to manage project scope, build timelines, update status reports, track financial performance and follow-up with various teams for ongoing deliverables
Ensure client needs are being met by negotiating deadlines, re-prioritizing jobs and flagging any risk on delivery
Ensure Agency standard pricing grids are being updated
Think outside the box and collaborate with key team members to find solutions
Work closely with Resource Management function
Thorough understanding of steps in Agency process and ability to apply to project management
Ensure package artwork files are completed for publications
Qualifications
7+ years experience in project management with progressive responsibility with 2-3 years of Agency experience in a similar role
Proven ability to lead and manage large, complex projects from initiation through close-out
Demonstrated success developing and managing project budgets
Strong understanding of project management methodologies
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
